What you are about to read might come of as sad news if you are a Shah Rukh Khan or Farhan Akhtar fan. Months after there were reports that the two stars would share screen space for the very first time in an upcoming crime film, Raees, which is to be directed by Rahul Dholakia, won't happen now.

It was confirmed when actor, singer, director and producer Farhan Akhtar himself came out and gave a public statement regarding his role in the film.

Farhan says, 'I think somebody jumped the gun. It's a film that we are producing. Shahrukh is, of course, in the film. But there's some kind of confusion about me being in it. That's not entirely true. I was asked whether I was excited to work with Shahrukh. I said yes, but I think it got misconstrued. I'm not in the film as an actor. I'm producing RAEES."

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, RAEES will go on floors in mid 2014 and is slated for an Eid 2015 release.
